Responsibilities
Assembly: Measure, cut, clean, and crimp industrial hydraulic hoses using machines like crimpers and cutters
Fittings: Attach appropriate fittings (couplings) to hoses, ensuring correct depth and lubrication
Testing & Inspection: Pressure test assemblies and visually check for defects, leaks, and proper crimp diameter
Work Orders: Interpret work orders, blueprints, or schematics to build hoses to precise specs
Quality Control: Ensure final products meet safety, quality, and performance standards
Inventory: Maintain records, manage materials, and keep work areas clean
Packaging: Clean and package hose assemblies for shipment
Qualification
Required
Experience assembling hydraulic hoses is required
Ability to read and understand work orders and instructions
Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of hydraulic systems and components
Tool Proficiency: Experience with hand/power tools, crimpers, tape measures
Attention to Detail: Crucial for precise measurements and quality checks
Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy parts, work in noisy/hot environments
Safety Focus: Adherence to strict safety procedures
Preferred
Warehouse / Forklift experience preferred
Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus
