Insight Global is hiring for a Melt/Molding Supervisor. This individual will be a hands-on floor leader responsible for running 2nd-shift melt and molding operations within a foundry environment.

Responsibilities

Directing crews
Maintaining safety and 5S+1 standards
Ensuring the on-time shipment of quality castings
Oversee induction melt operations for ductile and gray iron
Verify equipment readiness (including furnaces, ladles, and pouring spouts)
Monitor costs, equipment uptime, and scrap levels
Collaborate with management on quality concerns and capital needs
Planning staffing
Enforcing company and union policies
Coordinating refractory maintenance to ensure safe and efficient thermal performance

Qualification

Foundry melting experienceSupervisory experienceRefractory maintenance5S workplace standardsCoreless induction furnacesMetallurgy coursework

Required

2+ years foundry melting experience (induction melting preferred)
3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with refractory maintenance and repair for furnaces, ladles, and pouring systems
Experience maintaining or enforcing 5S or 5S+1 workplace standards
High School Diploma (required)

Preferred

Experience with coreless induction furnaces
DISA vertical molding and Isocure core making background
Some college and/or additional training; Metallurgy or related coursework
