Support ownership and ongoing improvement of payroll function
Manage compliance across multiple states
Biweekly payroll processing for approximately 300 employees across 32 states
Own multi state payroll administration
Address existing payroll inaccuracies
Support audit related cleanup efforts
Process new hires in Paycor
Ensure employees are properly set up and included in onboarding meetings
Maintain payroll compliance based on varying state requirements
Research state specific payroll rules by navigating state websites
Confirm local tax requirements and validate compliance beyond what the payroll system provides
Train on OSHA 300
Process surveys
Support related payroll and compliance initiatives
Qualification
Required
four or more years of payroll experience
experience managing payroll across multiple states
strong hands on experience with multi state payroll
excellent attention to detail
ability to work effectively in a fast paced and occasionally chaotic environment
comfortable owning payroll end to end
enjoys digging into complex requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Preferred
five to six years of payroll experience
a bachelor's degree
Paycor experience
deep understanding of multi state payroll requirements
strong attention to detail
genuine desire to learn and problem solve
