Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities
Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and inform clients of changes that may affect them
Assist in the training and mentoring of junior tax staff and interns
Manage client relationships, responding to inquiries and providing exceptional service to foster long-term partnerships
Utilize tax software tools such as CCH Axcess and Checkpoint for efficient workflow and engagement management

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on senior tax associate responsibilities
Proficiency in tax preparation and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Experience with tax planning strategies and the ability to engage with clients on a consultative basis
Strong knowledge of tax law and regulations, with a commitment to staying updated on changes in tax legislation
Familiarity with tax software and tools, particularly CCH Axcess and Checkpoint

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is not mandatory
Enrolled Agent designation is preferred but not required
