Responsibilities
Measure, cut, thread, and install pipes to exact specifications
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
Install and support piping systems for HVAC, boilers, process equipment, and industrial lines
Perform hydrostatic testing and system inspections
Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, and component failures
Work closely with welders, plumbers, and mechanical contractors
Qualification
Required
Formal pipefitter training or 3+ years of field experience
Strong ability to read technical drawings and follow safety protocols
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment
Knowledge of pipe materials including steel, copper, PVC, and specialty alloys
Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite across Metro Detroit
