Responsibilities
Prioritise work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimise manufacturing downtime
Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices
Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
Analyse test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards
Qualification
Required
Experience using RS Logix 5000, RS Logix 500, or RS Logix 5 software for machine troubleshooting
Ability to go online with Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC500, or PLC5 using Ethernet I/P, DH+, or RS232
Ability to download PLC programs if necessary
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Experience using a multimeter
Experience working in control panels with up to 480VAC
Hands-on troubleshooting of machinery
Utilising root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages
Collaborating with other departments

Hands-on experience with maintenance and industrial machinery
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

Understanding of 3-phase systems
Experience with conveyor systems and industrial maintenance
