Responsibilities
Wind finished material into rolls of specified size or yardage
Check the quality of the product prior to winding, inform the operator of any defects, remove any defective material, and splice material in accordance with operating instructions
Set and adjust slitters or trimmers to specifications as required, inspecting the quality of the cuts, adjusting knives as necessary
Assist operator with thread-ups
Remove the finished roll from the winder, replace the shaft, remove the shaft from the finished roll, re-core the shaft, weigh the roll, record the weight, package rolls, and transport them to a storage area
Maintain an ample supply of properly sized cores and packing supplies
Keep working area around the Kuster in an orderly condition
Assist the operator in start-ups and other downtime as instructed
Maintain accurate production records and record data as directed
Accept direct supervision and complete all miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Attendance and reliability are number 1!
Self motivated, able to stay busy and focused throughout the full shift
Manual dexterity and efficiency in high volume environment
