Responsibilities
Follow all safety procedures in laboratory and manufacturing environments
Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions
Maintain compliance with standard safety practices and organizational policies
Apply good housekeeping practices and contribute to a safe work environment
Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD
Generate accurate models for 3D-printed prototype components
Assist engineers and scientists in building product and process prototypes, assemblies, and test stands
Participate in prototype testing and evaluation under the guidance of engineering staff
Support refinement of existing manufacturing designs and prototype development activities
Work closely with engineers, scientists, and team members to complete project tasks
Perform mechanical assembly work as needed for prototype builds
Execute non-routine tasks while following hazard assessment practices
Maintain consistent communication with project teams to ensure successful outcomes
Qualification
Required
Associate degree required
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience working with mechanical equipment
Proficiency using CAD software for 3D modeling and drawing creation (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Experience in manufacturing or laboratory environments
Project or task management experience
