They are seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Sheet Metal Detailer to work with company standards, improve detailing practices, and ensure the accuracy of drawings and documents.

Responsibilities
Work in conformity with company Pipe and CAD Standards and detailing practices
Participate in the improvement of company's Pipe and CAD Standards and detailing practices
Establishes drawings and document format required to complete job
Understands and complies with job specific scope and requirements
Generates concise Request For Information (RFI’s) or field questions when questions or discrepancies arise on contract drawings or specifications
Verifies that all drawings are complete to a constructible state
Consistently reviews shop drawings to insure quality and accuracy prior to distribution to the field
Verifies that all RFI’s written are followed through to construction drawings
Modifies drawings as changes occur and expedite changes to field
Creates accurate record drawings from red-lined field markups
Creates clean, usable working backgrounds
Communicates with Project Supervision to determine detailing scope
Assists project staff with drawing requirements and priorities
Participates in project coordination efforts and coordinates changes into drawings
Communicates effectively and keep open lines of communication with CAD Manager and Field Team
Communicates any outstanding job or departmental issues with the CAD Manager
Participates in department meetings and communicates ideas for improvement
Qualification
Required
A.A. degree in design/drafting or equivalent work experience
Minimum of five (5) years work experience in commercial HVAC
Proficiency with software tools including, AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related 3D detailing software tools
Demonstrates and displays honesty, integrity and personal accountability
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to interface with construction industry professionals with professionalism and credibility

The employee must be capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting within OSHA ergonomic safety guidelines
Safe lifting techniques must be used to comply with all applicable workplace safety standards
