Responsibilities
Write, revise, adapt, and enhance code for mainframe applications using NATURAL and ADABAS
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring applications meet established performance and quality standards
Perform system testing and debug programs based on system test and user acceptance results
Maintain and support existing applications to ensure operational continuity
Analyze issues within mainframe systems and provide technical solutions
Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and adherence to functional and technical requirements
Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals and system documentation
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and address functionality issues
Recommend development tools, methods, and enhancements to improve system performance
Provide on‑site or remote support as needed, including after‑hours corrective actions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of NATURAL software development experience
Minimum 5 years of ADABAS database development experience
Proficiency with TSO, JCL, FTP, and COBOL
Experience preparing technical documentation and communicating effectively with stakeholders
Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with strong problem‑solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
SQL Server database experience preferred
