Responsibilities
Architect and implement a production-grade edge agent on our hardware that is self-healing and resilient
Own the device-to-cloud data schemas and build/operate core Python backend services and data pipelines for secure data ingestion
Work on all parts of our new product stack, from the edge agent and data transmission to the backend and front-end
Collaborate with a generalist engineer, bringing specialist knowledge to help the team see '10 steps ahead' in building telemetry-based systems
Contribute to a broad range of tasks as needed, embracing a startup mindset where you might touch a small front-end feature one day and a deep backend service the next
Qualification
Required
5 - 10 years of experience in backend software engineering, shipping software on Linux
Experience working with telemetry data from IoT or telecom devices
Experience with wireless technologies (Cellular/Wi-Fi)
Technical degree preferably in Computer Science
Production experience with Python for services, APIs, and workers
Experience shipping software on Linux edge devices
Familiarity with OpenWrt, Cellular (QMI/MBIM), or Wi-Fi (nl80211) protocols
Preferred
Experience at a Seed or Series A startup for 2-3 years
