Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain high availability, scalable database systems
Administer and optimize SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other database environments
Manage data storage, indexing, and retrieval for mission critical applications
Support and integrate databases for tools including:
Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence)
Cameo/Teamwork Cloud MBSE
SolidWorks
GitLab
Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Ensure compliance with security standards in classified environments
Support development teams with schema design, query optimization, and automation
Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret Clearance (must be active on Day 1)
CompTIA Security+ Certification
8+ years of DBA experience with strong expertise in: SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Strong understanding of database architecture and performance tuning
Experience with database security and compliance in secure environments
Proven ability to manage complex, large scale database systems
Hands on experience supporting database components of: Atlassian Suite, Cameo/Teamwork Cloud MBSE, SolidWorks, GitLab
Preferred
Familiarity with underlying database technologies for the above tools
Experience working in classified or defense related environments
Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
Knowledge of cloud based database solutions
