Mid LevelJohn Elway Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to join their fast-paced supportive team. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various automotive systems while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Routine inspections and maintenance
Road test vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that guests are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Continuously expanding your knowledge for new technologies and practice
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
GM technical training will be provided
Maintain GM Certification is a must!
Monday through Friday, some weekends depending on vehicle backlog
Attend training classes as needed
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
Required self-owned scanner tool
Familiar with all makes and models
Previous automotive technician experience required
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Knowledge of automobile components, systems, and customer service
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write reports and correspondence
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
European vehicle experience preferred
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred
