Senior LevelConfidential company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for their client in Denver, CO. This role will take ownership of technically complex machining, fabrication, and assembly programs, coordinating internal teams and managing project scope, timelines, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities
Evaluate and prepare cost estimates for complex machining, fabrication, and assembly work
Define project scope, requirements, and execution approach based on customer needs and technical constraints
Identify and align the appropriate internal resources needed to support each project
Build and manage project schedules in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
Track project progress, risks, and deliverables, providing clear updates to stakeholders
Act as a primary technical contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure work is executed in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and quality requirements
Review engineering documentation and coordinate required actions, changes, or approvals
Monitor budgets, schedules, and technical milestones to maintain project performance
Support quality planning, inspection strategies, and verification activities
Develop technical requirements for equipment, tooling, and materials as needed
Establish methods for tracking project performance metrics and technical data
Define and support validation and testing approaches to ensure product and process integrity
Maintain compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Extensive experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Demonstrated experience leading projects involving complex machining, fabrication, and/or assemblies
Working knowledge of CAD tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance interpretation
Experience reviewing and validating engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance
Familiarity with formal engineering documentation and change control processes
Preferred
Experience working within AS9100 or other regulated quality systems
Background supporting aerospace, precision metals, or high-reliability manufacturing projects
Prior responsibility for quoting and executing technically complex manufacturing programs
