This role combines hands-on development with leadership, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring development teams to ensure the delivery of secure, high-performance mobile applications.

Responsibilities
Own end-to-end system architecture across mobile (Ionic + Capacitor/Cordova), backend services, messaging, and data persistence
Lead technical design decisions for event-driven architectures, push notifications, authentication, and real-time updates
Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality expectations
Act as the primary technical decision-maker for mobile and backend integrations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and enterprise compliance
Manage CI/CD pipelines, iOS builds, app signing, and deployment processes
Qualification
Required
Lead architecture and development of Angular-based mobile applications
Experience with Ionic/Capacitor (preferred) and modular, scalable app design
Integrate AWS cloud services and iOS-specific functionality
Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards
Drive CI/CD, production releases, and development lifecycle management
Ensure optimal iOS performance, security, offline support, and user experience
Deliver stable, production-ready mobile applications meeting enterprise standards
Ability to provide two professional references
Preferred
Onsite presence in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX 1–2 days/week
