Responsibilities
Splice fiber cables (loose tube and ribbon)
Construct and seal proper splice cases
Interpret cut sheets, work orders, and engineering drawings
Maintain compliance with BICSI standards
Support underground and aerial telecom mapping and documentation
Maintain all inside/outside plant records
Assist engineering and construction teams
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot route problems
Install and connect cables to structures, terminals, poles, and buildings
Participate in emergency response
Work outdoors in Kauaʻi’s varying weather conditions (rain, humidity, heat)
Submit daily production and as‑built reports
Qualification
Required
Interest in learning the telecom trade (fiber, Cat5/Cat6). Training available
Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
Must pass a drug test and hold a valid driver's license
