Human Resources Payroll Administrator
Cameron Nursery, LLC is a family-owned business in the agriculture industry seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Payroll Administrator. Responsibilities
Process accurate and timely payroll for hourly, salaried, and seasonal employees
Maintain payroll and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including agricultural regulations
Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and final pay processing
Respond to payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientations, and system access
Support seasonal and agricultural hiring documentation requirements
Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with enrollments and changes
Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records
Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) interpretation and translation for employees, supervisors, leadership, and outside vendors
Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and benefits continuation
Manage workplace injury reporting and claims through the company’s Retro-Safety Program
Serve as the primary liaison with Washington State Labor & Industries (L&I) for workers’ compensation claims and reporting
Coordinate accident investigations, corrective actions, and return-to-work programs
Support safety training initiatives and OSHA compliance
Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and documentation requests
Qualification
Required
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken, reading, and written)
2+ years of experience in payroll and/or human resources administration
Working knowledge of payroll processes and employment laws
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Preferred
Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or labor-intensive environments
Knowledge of Washington State employment laws and L&I requirements
Payroll (FPC, CPP) or HR (PHR, SHRM-CP) certification
Experience supporting seasonal or multi-state workforces
