Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams, mentoring junior staff and coordinating technical work
Solve complex design challenges, delivering calculations, drawings, and cost estimates
Plan projects (budgets, schedules) and ensure compliance with codes/standards
Optimize designs through technical/financial analysis and site inspections
Produce critical documentation (specs, reports) and liaise with clients/stakeholders
Oversee quality control, from feasibility studies to final deliverables
Implement innovative solutions in transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) with 12+ years in Civil Design and Project Management, or equivalent education/experience
Professional Engineer registration in NY (or ability to obtain within 6 months of joining COWI)
Knowledge of NYC public agency processes (NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCEDC, NYCDEP) and private utility companies
Active participation in professional associations; willingness and ability to learn
Great planning, organisational, and multitasking skills, able to work efficiently and meet multiple deadlines
Effective written/verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with CADD analysis software
Ability to work with remote teams; willingness to travel is an asset
