Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform for development, test, and production environments
Automate deployments for:
Frontend applications (e.g., React)
Backend services (e.g., Python / FastAPI)
Build and maintain scalable, secure AWS-based environments, leveraging services such as:
VPC, Subnets, Security Groups
ECS (Fargate or EC2-backed)
ALB / NLB
IAM, CloudWatch, S3, ECR
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including:
Build, test, and deployment workflows
Environment-specific configurations
Secure handling of secrets and credentials
Apply DevSecOps best practices, including:
Infrastructure security
Least-privilege IAM policies
Secure CI/CD pipelines
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability and cost efficiency
Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to streamline development-to-production workflows
Train and mentor junior engineers on:
DevOps fundamentals
CI/CD concepts
Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
Contribute to documentation and internal runbooks
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in DevOps / DevSecOps roles
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including VPC, ECS, IAM, and networking concepts
Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
Experience deploying and operating: React or similar frontend applications
Python-based backend services (FastAPI preferred)
Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
Solid understanding of containerization and Docker
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a part-time capacity
Strong communication skills and experience mentoring junior team members
Preferred
Experience with AWS Fargate and/or multi-account AWS setups
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
Experience supporting agile development teams
Exposure to compliance or security-focused environments
Experience working with AI/ML-enabled applications or platforms
