Responsibilities

Lead teams of engineers and technicians producing drawings and calculations along with supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other engineers
Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets
Perform structural analysis, design, evaluation and be responsible for the preparation of calculations and drawings
Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes along with engineering reports and other technical documents
Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact
Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed

Required

Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structures focus
10 to 15 years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management
Have advanced technical skills and experience in the design and construction of bridges and working with modern bridge design codes
Be a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, Maryland, DC or can obtain

Preferred

A master's degree
Preferably have experience with complex bridges and 3D structural modeling using software such as CSI Bridge, Sofistik, and ADINA
Preferably have experience with preparing proposals and leading in business development
