The role involves advanced design and operational knowledge of shipboard systems, performing inspections, and providing recommendations based on testing and discrepancies found during inspections.

Responsibilities
Possesses advanced design and operational knowledge and understanding of all shipboard electrical/mechanical systems and sub-systems
Observe testing and provide reports for FRC electrical testing performed by the contractor
Perform electrical/mechanical/structural inspections on FRC’s
Create a list of potential discrepancies found during testing and inspections
Provide recommendations on the clearance of discrepancies after satisfactory demonstration of system operation
Review electrical drawings and equipment, technical publications in accordance with published standards and requirements and provide reports and assessments
Review Configuration Change Requests and Engineering Change Requests for technical content and accuracy; provide a report of the reviews after completion
Observe underway testing of all mechanical and electrical systems during Builders Trials and record any potential deficiencies
