Responsibilities
Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering
Managing dates and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification
Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp
Lead qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.)
Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value
Identify and implement qualification cost out opportunities
Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support
Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Engineering related degree)
Strong background with CAD Software (NX Unigraphics preferred)
2-8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering role focused on design and project management
Strong background in manufacturing environment
Familiar with Ansys, PLM (Siemens preferred) and MS Office Suite
Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering
Managing dates and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification
Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
Passion for quality and continuous improvement
Lead qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.)
Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value
Identify and implement qualification cost out opportunities
Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support
Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
Preferred
Gas Turbine engineering experience
Manufacturing experience
Background on hot gas path components, including NX and GD&T
Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
