Scheduling Coordinator

Responsibilities
Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments using hospital software by performing visit notifications to patients and inputting/updating accurate patient information. Works patient depot and maintains snap board for endoscopy. Schedules tests, issues prep instructions, and mails out no-show letters. Blocks schedules in EPIC as appropriate
Remains committed to the Circle of Excellence to provide patient care and support in achieving the overall mission of the organization
Verifies Insurance and explains benefits. Enters scheduling criteria, collaborates with the authorization team to determine benefit and authorization information
Qualification
Required
High school graduate, GED, or formal education equivalent plus (7) seven years of training and/or experience in business office administration, customer service, or related work of which three years' experience is in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment OR
Bachelor's degree plus three years' experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment
