Senior Client Service Associate
Merritt Financial is a fee-based wealth management practice affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, serving high-net-worth clients. They are seeking an experienced Senior Client Services Associate to lead operational excellence and client service delivery, supporting the firm's growth trajectory and enhancing practice operations.
Responsibilities
Manage complex service requests: account transfers, beneficiary changes, estate distributions, RMDs
Own client onboarding from initial paperwork through funding
Serve as primary contact for operational inquiries
Coordinate with Raymond James service teams
Proactively resolve issues before client impact
Ensure timely follow-up and quality standards
Prepare meeting agendas and materials
Attend client meetings and document decisions
Execute post-meeting follow-up and correspondence
Handle operational communications professionally
Build trusted relationships through consistent service
Mentor and train junior staff
Document and improve workflows continuously
Ensure compliance with firm policies
Manage file organization and documentation
Participate in strategic planning initiatives
Qualification
Required
5-10+ years in wealth management or financial services operations
Proven track record with complex client service situations
Experience with high-net-worth clients and sophisticated accounts
Deep custodial platform knowledge (Raymond James experience a strong plus)
Expert knowledge of account types (taxable, IRA, trust, business, etc.)
Strong understanding of beneficiary designations and estate planning basics
Proficiency with CRM systems and financial planning software
Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error mentality
Outstanding written and verbal communication
Proactive problem solver who anticipates needs
Works independently while collaborating effectively
Professional demeanor and polished client interaction
Service-oriented with genuine care for client experience
Preferred
Series 7/66 licenses (or willingness to obtain)
Fee-based advisory practice experience
Financial planning concepts familiarity
Staff mentoring/training experience
FPQP or similar certification
Commissioned notary public
