Project & Program Management (MS) Advisory Council Member – Brandeis University Online
Brandeis University - Online is inviting experienced leaders to join their Advisory Council for the new Master of Science in Project and Program Management Program. Members will provide strategic guidance, evaluate program goals, and assist in mentorship and networking opportunities for students.
Responsibilities
Offer strategic guidance and expertise on evolving demands placed on leaders today
Evaluate degree program goals and coursework to ensure graduates acquire essential leadership skills
Identify guest speakers and recommend instructors
Serve as ambassadors for the program within their industries and professional networks
Provide content for the Brandeis Online blog
Connect the partnerships team with contacts within your organization/network
Help the Partnership Team connect with your organization to develop partnership opportunities
Promote/reshare Brandeis Online social media posts, if able
Mentor students in career support and industry-related questions, if applicable
Aid in the development of special topic courses/micro-courses/digital badges
Attend the 'beginning of session' welcoming of new students in the program
Attend at least 1 student capstone presentation per session (4 per year)
Serve as a career mentor to a student, meeting a minimum of twice per year
Participate in Slack community of students, alumni, faculty, and other leaders
Share Brandeis programs and Brandeis Online community events with your professional network
Participate in events on campus/virtually within Brandeis Online & the larger Brandeis Community
Qualification
Required
Experienced leaders from a diverse range of industries, including business, nonprofit, healthcare, technology, government, education, and more
Passionate about mentoring the next generation of professionals
Strategic, operational, or executive-level leadership experience, regardless of their specific sector
Ability to offer strategic guidance and expertise on the evolving demands placed on leaders today
Evaluate degree program goals and coursework to ensure graduates acquire essential leadership skills
Help identify guest speakers, recommend instructors, and serve as ambassadors for the program within their industries and professional networks
Commitment to a two-year term from February 2026 to February 2028
Attendance and participation in approximately 2 meetings a year, virtually for 1-1.5 hours
Participation in additional areas such as providing content for the Brandeis Online blog, connecting the partnerships team with contacts, and promoting Brandeis Online social media posts
Student mentorship, aiding in the development of special topic courses, attending student capstone presentations, and participating in the Slack community
