Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and review transactional documents, including:
Purchase & sale agreements
Commercial and industrial leases
Loan, finance, and security documents
Joint venture and operating agreements
Oversee and perform due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, and environmental review
Manage closings from start to finish and coordinate with lenders, opposing counsel, and third‑party professionals
Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing strategy, development issues, and financing structures
Maintain organized transaction workflow and communicate updates to clients and internal team members
Assist partners on high‑value or complex transactions
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing
3–7 years of commercial real estate transactional experience within a law firm
Demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills in at least one of the following areas: Commercial leasing, Acquisitions / dispositions, Real estate finance, Development projects
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
Preferred
Experience with lender or borrower representation in real estate financing
Familiarity with Central New Jersey real estate trends and regulatory landscape
Ability to supervise paralegals or junior staff on diligence and closing tasks
