Responsibilities
Management of Zoo's Security Team across 3 shifts; 24/7 coverage
Oversight of emergency and non-emergency protocols and procedures
Considerable knowledge of National Incident Command System structure and the ability to function as Incident Commander
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
Three (3) years of experience related to the area of assignment
Demonstrated knowledge of security operations, and emergency and non-emergency protocols and procedures in a large public facility
Demonstrated experience in establishing and advancing internal programs and processes
Must have or the ability to obtain EMT within one year of employment
Experience supervising and managing a large team
Demonstrated knowledge of digital radio programming
Must meet DNCR Fleet Safety Guidelines and have ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment
Ability to engage with and communicate with staff, vendors and the public, electronically and in person, under normal and stressful situations effectively and tactfully
Work independently with no supervision
React calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Utilize a methodical and logical approach to investigate and enforce park rules and regulations
Perform multiple tasks and solve problems
Effectively resolve conflict, delegate, and build cohesive teams
