Vice President of Technical Operations
Boulevard Bio is a private, clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing best-in-class medicines for autoimmune diseases. They are seeking an experienced Vice President of Technical Operations to lead the strategic development and supply of biopharmaceutical products from discovery through clinical proof of concept.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute long-term tech ops strategy, aligning with overall corporate goals, from early-stage development (IND-enabling) to BLA/commercial launch
Lead Drug Substance/Product Process & Analytical Development, Tech Transfer, and manufacturing scale-up for clinical and commercial supply
Oversee external partners (CDMOs), manage clinical supply, and ensure efficient resource allocation
Ensure adherence to cGMP, ICH GCP, FDA, EMA guidelines; manage quality systems, SOPs, and audits
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams; foster innovation and collaboration
Develop budgets, manage resources, and proactively identify/mitigate program risks
Act as a key liaison with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams; present to executive leadership/board
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline; advanced degree (PhD, MS, MBA) preferred
15+ years of progressive experience in Technical Operations, Manufacturing, or CMC within the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including leadership responsibility for late-stage development and commercial readiness
Proven success leading biologics or advanced therapy manufacturing (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, cell or gene therapies, or complex proteins) across internal and external networks
Deep technical expertise in process development, technology transfer, scale-up, and supply chain operations, with a data-driven approach to performance and quality management
Strong understanding of cGMP regulations, quality systems, and global regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, ICH) for biologics manufacturing
Experience managing CMOs/CDMOs and building partner relationships that ensure reliable supply and compliance
Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and mentor high-performing cross-functional technical teams
Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial biotech environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and executive teams
