Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience as a software engineer
Very strong general engineering aptitude with deep experience in distributed systems
Experience working at a high-velocity startup during major growth stages
Demonstrated history of rapid progression or promotions at prior companies
Strong backend engineers only (this is not a full-stack role — candidates with full-stack profiles should be considered for a senior full-stack position instead)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field
Extremely strong fundamentals in systems design
Deep understanding of how large-scale distributed systems behave in production
Experience building event collection or data streaming services that power business-critical systems
Hands-on work with message queues, Kafka, SQL databases, Kubernetes, and Docker
Ownership of systems that have scaled by orders of magnitude
Experience building data synchronization engines that process and move terabytes of data per day
Comfortable working close to the infrastructure layer
Strong understanding of how core tools and platforms (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka) are built, not just how they are used
