Responsibilities

Development of power electronic devices for customer-specific products in the medium-voltage range (20 kV)
Independent handling of development projects from product definition to series production
Design, calculation, and simulation of electronic circuits for data center power supplies, followed by laboratory testing and type testing
Creation of the associated technical documentation (e.g., E-Plan)

Required

Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics or energy technology
Professional experience in the development of power electronics and knowledge of various converter topologies in the medium-voltage range
Experience in testing power electronics and converter technology in the medium-voltage range
Experience with simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Plecs and Spice
Knowledge of EMC would be advantageous
Good written and spoken English skills
Organizational skills, creativity, commitment and ability to work in a team
Confident use of standard IT applications
Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and abroad

Preferred

Experience with medium-voltage power electronics (e.g. MV converters, solid-state transformers, MV drives)
Familiarity with MV components and insulation concepts (MV switchgear, transformers, bushings, creepage/clearance)
Exposure to high-power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs) for MV applications
Knowledge of grid-connected systems and power quality requirements
Experience with system-level simulations for MV applications (PLECS, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink)
Understanding of thermal design, partial discharge, and high-voltage testing
