Responsibilities
Maintain Development Tracker & Costing File for all product developments
Recommend materials, trims, and construction while ensuring key features, product performance, target cost, and calendar goals are met
Oversee end to end development in partnership with vendors from initial material & color development to final bulk approval
Obtain T&A calendars for all new developments, and communicate them to product team
Coordinate all sampling needs: proto, fit, pre-production, photo, TOPS
Work closely with Tech Design to ensure product fit and spec requirements are met, documented, and communicated to vendors
Design all new styles in accordance with merchandising brief to achieve target costing and product features
Guide seasonal color palette selection, order lab dips, and oversee color development with partners
Determine material/trim needs & make final material selection
Create tech packs for all new products & manage handoff to technical design team
Qualification
Required
5+ years of product development experience in either the apparel or footwear industry
Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Google Suite/Google Drive or similar
Experience creating Tech Packs, including basic apparel design experience and the ability to create line drawings of new styles; BOMs; Construction recommendations; Labeling & packaging requirements
Experience approving color and fabric for bulk production
Able to effectively communicate with international vendors and cross functional teams on a regular basis (written & verbal)
Strong digital literacy, including organizing files, using applications, and troubleshooting basic issues
