Responsibilities
Partner with PMs, Traders, and Desk Analysts to design and implement real-time trading tools, risk dashboards, and data pipelines
Develop and maintain scalable applications and services that support trading workflows
Serve as a hands-on “carpenter”, building robust systems from the ground up—owning projects end-to-end, from architecture to deployment
Ensure system reliability, latency performance, and data integrity across front-office components
Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to leverage core services and ensure alignment with best practices
Support the desk with fast, high-quality delivery while maintaining long-term maintainability and scalability
Promote modern software engineering practices across testing, CI/CD, and observability
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in front-office or risk-aligned software development roles, ideally aligned with equities, ETF, options, futures, etc
Expert-level proficiency in Python—capable of writing clean, performant, and production-quality code
Strong understanding of financial markets; macro or cross-asset knowledge is a plus
Proven ability to work independently within a trading desk, managing priorities in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills—able to interface effectively with PMs, traders, and business leads
Familiarity with data engineering concepts, APIs, and distributed systems
Passion for building technology that delivers measurable business value
Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and cloud-native tools
Proven ability to deliver both tactical and strategic solutions under evolving business needs
Strong communication and documentation skills; able to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
