Sustainability Program Manager

Crayola is a company that cares about the environment and is seeking a Sustainability Program Manager to support its Global Sustainability initiative. Responsibilities

Create and execution of broader sustainability projects throughout the company. For example, initiatives around waste reduction, renewable energy, factory efficiency programs, etc.… Also the management of specific projects related to more sustainable products (e.g. plastic swaps, recyclability, etc..) Time: 25%
Supports and executes the collection, measurement, and analysis of sustainability related data for programs like SBTi, CDP, Walmart Project Gigaton and Project Thesis. Creating ad hoc reports to support the request of Crayola global retailers and licensees. 20%
Learning and execution of corporate systems for measuring sustainability impact of products and suppliers. Tools such as Trayak / Compass LCA, Eccoinvent and SupplyShift. Manages and documents Crayola’s Sustainability Dashboard. Time: 10%
Manages cross functional teams to deliver upon approved sustainability improvement projects. Works with technical leaders in operations engineering, packaging & product engineering, R&D / QA and sourcing. Time: 20%
Support the creation and implementation of corporate wide sustainability strategy
Work with outside companies, suppliers, technical experts, and academia to improve Crayola's long-term, sustainability positioning
Provide organizational thought-leadership in the field of “design for sustainability.”

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in technical field (e.g. engineering, R&D, etc..)
3+ years' relevant experience
Proficient in Excel with ability to learn more advance approaches
Basic materials knowledge with ability and desire to advanced topics (e.g. plastics, paper, etc..)
Working knowledge of enterprise software (SAP, Project Management Software, Spec systems, MS Office/365, MS Teams
Experience with self-directed work teams pertaining to continuous improvement and employee involvement
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Effective and productive in both in-person and virtual settings. Effective communication to international suppliers and Crayola employees
A demonstrated record of creativity, innovation and productivity in a technical capacity
Some experience with direct or indirect procurement
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time for brief vendor/manufacturing visits
