Responsibilities
Assist with monthly financial reporting package and related schedules to submit to Corporate
Review jobs and their performance for the month
Propose revenue accruals as needed as part of the month-end close process for operating units
Provide a variance analysis and narratives for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a quarterly basis
Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts monthly as well as preparing various journal entries for month-end close
Work closely with external auditors to prepare for, conduct and complete their audit and resolve issues and accounting interpretation issues related to GAAP
Make recommendations for alternatives to existing procedures and financial reporting
Ensure internal control compliance in areas of responsibility including development and documentation of all related processes and controls
Prepare and submit workers comp reports
Assist in compiling annual budget, rolling forecasts, and supporting schedules
Assist in uploading annual budget and reforecasts into ERP system
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business and CPA required; equivalent experience considered at the discretion of management
Five to seven years experience required
Considerable knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems
Working knowledge of office automation and computerized financial applications
Considerable knowledge of accounting and reporting systems
Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports
Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures
Demonstrate a motivation to provide fast, accurate and complete customer service at all times to all employees and management
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive material
Ability to apply organizational skills when given a project; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
Use resources effectively to generate solutions; take initiative when resolving problems
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to type on a keyboard
Ability to converse over a telephone
Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment
