Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
Conduct legal research on real estate, contract, and commercial dispute issues
Assist in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, deposition prep, and trial prep
Represent clients in court conferences, motion hearings, mediations, and arbitrations (with supervision as needed)
Support senior attorneys in handling complex real estate litigation—including ownership disputes, lease disputes, property damage claims, co-op/condo matters, and landlord-tenant litigation
Participate in commercial litigation matters such as breach of contract, partnership/member disputes, business torts, and enforcement proceedings
Manage deadlines, filings, and case progress across state and federal courts
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD), Class of 2022 or 2023
Admission to the New York Bar
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Demonstrated interest in real estate or commercial litigation
Ability to handle multiple matters in a fast‑paced litigation environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
