Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidates have specialized in building resilient, enterprise‑grade backend applications using modern Java technologies and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale backend applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale backend applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and modern integration frameworks
Own all technical aspects of software development, including analysis, design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
Build high‑performance APIs and microservices while ensuring sub‑second response times through performance tuning and optimization
Write robust JUnits, Mockito tests, and integration tests to improve code coverage and maintain high software quality standards
Work with cloud‑related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD tools to deploy and manage applications
Collaborate with product owners to prioritize sprint features while identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies and improve system architecture

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field

Strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, automated testing (JUnits, Mockito), and software development best practices across the full SDLC
Proven experience with cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), performance tuning for low‑latency applications, and troubleshooting issues in test and production environments
