The role of the Controls Engineer Intern will consist of exposure to the company and the field of automation, with tasks driven by the needs of TMPC and the skill level of the intern.

Responsibilities
Works with the customer and/or process engineer to develop and/or interpret process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Develops project documentation including, but not limited to, device lists, I/O lists, electrical contractor documentation, and acceptance documentation
Designs and develops PLC and HMI programs
Designs control system networks
Drafts for electrical schematics, networks, etc
Commute between home, the local TMPC office, and customer sites as required
Other functions as required by the project
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Ability to multitask on multiple projects and project elements
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred
Applicants who are pursuing or have a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering are preferred
