Hunter and Trapper Engagement Coordinator

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is seeking a Hunter & Trapper Engagement Coordinator for their Wildlife Education Division. Responsibilities

Leads the development and refinement of hunter and trapper engagement goals, strategies, and materials, including curriculum, lesson plans, outreach resources, and program evaluation processes
Represents the agency at state and national forums, and coordinates with internal divisions, NGOs, landowners, and government partners
Designs and delivers engagement programs, workshops, and events with measurable outcomes, evaluates initiatives using data and feedback, and prepares reports and presentations for leadership
Conducts research on national R3 trends, translates concepts into actionable plans, and secures grants, sponsorships, and cooperative agreements to support program growth
Manages volunteers and seasonal employees, maintains accurate records and reports, handles scheduling and financial documentation, and assists with other agency projects as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in wildlife management, fisheries management, parks and recreation, public administration or business administration from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience related to the area of assignment
an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication and media skills, including writing, editing, and disseminating information through various formats such as articles, scripts, exhibits, and audio-visual presentations
Extensive knowledge of wildlife, including North Carolina species, habitats, wildlife management, and natural sciences
Skilled in educational program development, including instructional formats, and large-scale public education and outreach initiatives
Proficient in administrative, organizational, and promotional techniques, with the ability to manage projects and market educational content effectively
Demonstrates interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with volunteers, government officials, organizations, and the general public
