Responsibilities

Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems
Support assembly processes involving automated epoxy component attachment, radiofrequency (RF) assembly, wirebonding, circuit card assembly, and others
Work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing
Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis
Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues

Required

Requires a master's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with preferred majors in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred majors are Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics, and/or automated assembly equipment
Process development and qualification experience
Statistical Process Control (SPC), statistical data analysis experience, Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques
Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc
Experience with problem solving using data-driven approaches
Experience with technical writing, presentations, and communicating with cross-functional teams or experience levels
