Product Manager – Finance Core Systems
Ashley Furniture Industries, the largest manufacturer of furniture in the world, is seeking a Product Manager – Finance Core Systems to own and evolve the financial systems that power their global business. This role will lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for core finance platforms, connecting various financial operations into a cohesive ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for Ashley’s core Finance ERP and surrounding platforms (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management)
Ensure systems support multi-entity, multi-currency, and intercompany accounting in a global manufacturing and retail environment
Partner with Finance to improve financial close, controls, and audit readiness, including support for SOX and internal control requirements
Drive integration of manufacturing, supply chain, and retail operations into a consistent financial system of record
Work with IT and vendors on ERP modernization and optimization (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Dynamics 365 Finance, Infor)
Lead product strategy for operational finance systems supporting order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes
Oversee capabilities for invoicing, billing, credit, collections, pricing engines, commissions, tariffs, and adjustments
Collaborate with Cost Accounting and FP&A to enable robust standard/actual cost accounting, revenue recognition, and margin analysis
Partner with FP&A to support and enhance planning platforms (budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling)
Enable financial consolidation and management reporting across multiple business units and regions
Ensure systems support workforce planning, cost center planning, and executive/board-level financial insights using platforms such as Planful, Anaplan, OneStream, Oracle EPM, or similar
Define and drive an API-first integration strategy for finance systems, while supporting batch-based integrations where appropriate
Oversee coexistence with legacy systems (e.g., AS400, DB2, flat files) during transition periods
Work closely with integration teams using middleware/iPaaS (e.g., Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi) to orchestrate workflows
Support AP/AR automation solutions (e.g., Kofax/Tungsten) to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times
Ensure alignment of finance data models and system-of-record definitions with enterprise data standards
Partner with Data & Analytics teams to support data warehouses, data lakes, and semantic layers for finance reporting
Enable self-service BI and reporting through tools like Power BI, with strong emphasis on data quality, lineage, and governance
Support Finance in defining and tracking key financial KPIs and dashboards
Own the product roadmap for finance platforms, ensuring alignment with business priorities and capacity constraints
Define and prioritize the product backlog (epics, features, user stories) and manage dependencies across teams
Use Jira or similar tools to manage product execution, including sprint planning, risk tracking, and delivery metrics
Lead cross-functional delivery with Finance, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality releases
Provide guidance and alignment across related systems such as payroll and benefits (UKG, ADP), expense management, treasury/banking, and document management/ECM (OnBase)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required
10+ years of product management, business systems ownership, or enterprise applications experience, with 5+ years focused on finance systems
Proven track record delivering and scaling enterprise-level financial platforms in manufacturing, wholesale, or retail environments
Demonstrated experience working closely with Finance leadership (CFO, Controller, FP&A) as a trusted partner
Deep understanding of finance processes: GL, AP, AR, FA, cash, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, revenue recognition, cost accounting
Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP finance platform (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Dynamics 365 Finance)
Strong product management fundamentals: strategy, roadmap development, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery
Data-driven mindset with experience using BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) for decision-making
Excellent communication and executive presence, able to translate complex systems into business language and influence at all levels
Experience working with integration technologies, automation tools, and financial data architectures
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk, including SOX considerations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and cross-functional initiatives
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree
