Human Resources Generalist

Oak Harvest Financial Group is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to manage all HR and benefits functions for their organization of approximately 45 employees. The role involves overseeing core HR operations, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, and recruiting while ensuring a collaborative and compliant environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters
Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and documentation
Maintain employee records, files, and HRIS systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Support performance management processes, reviews, and documentation
Draft, update, and maintain employee handbook and HR policies
Manage or assist in employee related events, to help promote mission, vision and values
Manage all employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and ancillary benefits
Oversee open enrollment, new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations
Serve as liaison with benefits brokers, insurance carriers, and vendors
Educate employees on benefits offerings and support benefit-related questions
Monitor benefit costs and assist leadership with plan evaluations and renewals
Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
Manage PTO tracking, leave administration, and timekeeping policies
Support audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting as needed
Manage workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and related documentation
Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations
Support employment investigations, documentation, and corrective action processes when needed
Support recruiting and hiring logistics including job postings, offer letters, and onboarding coordination
Partner with leadership on role creation, job descriptions, and compensation benchmarking
Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements

Required

3–7 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Benefits Administration
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
Experience managing benefits and HR processes without a PEO or with minimal outside support
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred

Experience supporting a hybrid or remote workforce
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar)
Experience in financial services, professional services, or growing organizations
