Responsibilities
Lead AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) initiatives, defining migration frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for enterprise-scale workloads
Conduct application discovery and dependency mapping using tools such as AWS Migration Hub, Application Discovery Service, and Application Migration Service (MGN)
Develop comprehensive migration roadmaps and wave plans , including effort estimation, risk assessment, and sequencing
Architect target-state AWS landing zones and integration models aligned with enterprise security, compliance, and performance requirements
Design and oversee migration execution leveraging AWS-native services, automation frameworks, and partner accelerators
Collaborate with application owners, QA, and security teams to ensure migration readiness, cutover, rollback, and validation
Recommend modernization paths such as containerization, serverless, and managed database services for suitable workloads
Provide governance, progress reporting, and technical oversight throughout migration execution
Partner with AWS ProServe, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery aligned with business and technical objectives
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, with at least 5 years leading cloud application migrations to AWS
Strong expertise in AWS migration and modernization services, including: Application Migration Service (MGN), Migration Hub & Application Discovery Service, Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS MAP frameworks and tooling
Proven experience in migration assessment and planning, including portfolio rationalization and 6R strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of application architectures (Java, .NET, middleware, APIs) and their mapping to AWS services
Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and compliance in enterprise environments
Familiarity with migration validation, performance testing, UAT, and post-migration optimization
AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate Certification is required
Preferred
Experience in migrating or modernizing applications in financial services or other regulated environments
Knowledge of containerization (ECS, EKS) and serverless (Lambda) for post-migration modernization
Strong stakeholder management and program governance skills in multi-vendor delivery models
Prior experience collaborating with AWS Professional Services (ProServe) or MAP Partner Programs
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
