Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot AV systems in conference rooms and public spaces
Provide responsive, customer-facing technical support in a fast-paced environment with frequent service requests
Ensure operational readiness of equipment for meetings and events; deliver on-site support with professionalism and urgency
Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs while minimizing user disruption
Train users on AV system operation with patience and clarity
Collaborate with IT on network infrastructure and system integration
Support Council Chambers operations, including meeting recording and live streaming
Manage projects, inventory, and budget planning (higher tiers)
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum two years of hands-on experience with professional AV systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Crestron control systems
Experience with networked AV equipment and video conferencing platforms
Knowledge of AV signal flow (HDMI, DisplayPort, HDBaseT)
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to pass a public safety background check
Preferred
AVIXA CTS certification
Experience with DSP programming (Biamp, QSC, or similar)
Knowledge of AV-over-IP, Dante, or audio networking protocols
Familiarity with video production and live streaming systems
AV project management or budget planning experience
Government or municipal AV operations background
