Responsibilities
Act as technical lead and subject-matter expert for DC/DC and AC/DC power supply development
Define system architecture, converter topologies, and design approaches for next-generation power platforms
Lead design, simulation, and development of high-voltage power supplies from concept through to production
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to power electronics engineers, supporting skill development and best-practice design methodologies
Review designs, calculations, simulations, and test results to ensure technical quality and robustness
Lead design verification, testing, and qualification activities
Collaborate closely with systems, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration
Support recruitment, onboarding, and technical assessment of new engineering talent
Identify and mitigate technical risks across projects
Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and design standards
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline
Extensive experience in power electronics design, including DC/DC and AC/DC converter development
Proven expertise in high-voltage power supply design
Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers
Strong knowledge of power semiconductors, magnetics, control loops, and thermal design
Proficiency with simulation and design tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PCB CAD)
Hands-on experience delivering designs from concept through to production
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction
Preferred
Experience in high-reliability or regulated sectors (space, defence, medical, industrial)
Knowledge of EMC compliance and safety standards for high-voltage systems
Experience acting as a technical authority across multiple projects
