Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise infrastructure systems supporting state government agencies
Respond to and resolve infrastructure and systems support tickets
Assist with administration and troubleshooting of virtualized environments such as VMware
Support datacenter and virtual networking environments including switches, virtual networks, and connectivity
Perform basic Linux system support and troubleshooting
Review logs, alerts, and system behavior to identify and resolve issues
Monitor system health, performance, and availability
Document procedures, incidents, and resolution steps
Collaborate with senior engineers on maintenance, upgrades, and operational improvements
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent technical experience
0-3 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, systems administration, or a related role
Basic understanding of virtualization concepts such as virtual machines and hypervisors
Exposure to networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, routing, switching, or virtual networking
Basic knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems
Familiarity with ticketing systems and operational support workflows
Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to communicate clearly, document work, and collaborate within a team environment
