Responsibilities

Oversee general ledger maintenance and accounting operations across multiple subsidiaries
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and consolidated management reports
Maintain strong AP/AR processes; ensure AR aging stays at 93%+ under 60 days
Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
Manage commission processing for commissionable agents
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and platform-wide financial planning
Analyze KPIs, margin drivers, job costing, backlog, cash flow, and operational performance
Translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights for non-financial leaders
Support creation of dashboards, reporting packages, and analytical tools
Partner with the CFO and M&A team on due diligence, financial review, and integration
Implement standardized accounting policies, internal controls, and financial workflows within newly acquired companies
Support migration to unified systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, CRM/ERP platforms)
Assist in establishing scalable processes for revenue recognition, job costing, and consolidated reporting
Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to local accounting teams post-acquisition
Help build ARP’s scalable financial technology stack, including ERP enhancements and AP automation
Improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency
Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and increase automation
Work closely with Operations, HR, Sales, and Finance across all brands
Provide financial support during operational reviews, pricing discussions, and cost initiatives
Partner with leadership to align financial processes with operational execution

Required

7–12+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience (Controller, Assistant Controller, FP&A Lead, or similar)
Direct experience with PE-backed platforms, preferably in home services, construction, or contractor-based businesses
Multi-entity consolidation experience required, including roll-ups or decentralized operating companies
Strong GAAP foundation with the ability to build and standardize controls, policies, and close processes across multiple entities
Hands-on M&A integration experience (preferred: 2+ completed integrations)
Strong FP&A capability, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and executive dashboards
Experience with construction or contractor accounting is preferred but not required (job costing, percentage-of-completion, WIP reporting)
Systems experience with platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Build/Acumatica/Sage, Bill.com, Ramp, PowerBI, or similar
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, field leadership, and executive teams
Willingness to travel to partner company locations to work directly with local accounting teams and leadership
Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, PE-style environment where structure is being built while the business is scaling
