Responsibilities

You will perform and support software development to design, develop, and test software for processing, analyzing, and presenting high-capacity data collected from safety-critical, real-time, satellite-based systems
You will work with the software and leadership team to support cost and schedule objectives
You will support formal and informal software integration and test activities
You will support software qualification testing to meet DO-178B standards for requirements-based verification and robustness testing
You will update software process documentation and work instructions to meet DO-178B standards and company processes
You will update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities
You will work with the software team and interface with other disciplines as needed to meet program milestones

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts
Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the Software Engineering field, specifically in a UNIX/Linux-based environment, with experience in C Programming, structured programming, and the full software development lifecycle
Must have prior experience in software testing, including Unit Test, Integration Test, and System Test, along with proficiency in source code debugging using various debuggers
Must have prior experience in source code configuration management systems such as ClearCase, ClearQuest, Jira, and BitBucket/Git

Preferred

Prior experience with C99 dialect of C, Python, SQL, Matlab, bash/ksh/Perl scripting
Prior experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), especially kernel development
Knowledge of agile, continuous integration, and automated testing concepts
Prior WAAS Experience and/or familiarity with WAAS processes and procedures
Prior experience with web application development using HTML, CSS, JQuery, C#, PHP, Json, VBScript, JavaScript, Angular
Prior knowledge of safety critical software requirements/DO-178B standards
Prior experience with cyber security implementation
