Responsibilities
Design complex mechanical systems for custom automated assembly equipment using SolidWorks (Windchill preferred)
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard and advanced engineering principles to solve challenging design problems
Own designs from initial layout through detailed component development
Adapt or modify established methods for non-routine or complex assignments
Participate in formal design reviews; incorporate feedback and respond constructively to critique
Ensure designs meet requirements for accuracy, manufacturability, safety, and performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, controls, and systems teams to support integration
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience designing automated assembly systems
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (required); Windchill experience a plus
Strong foundation in mechanical design, automation concepts, component selection, and system-level design
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a high-paced environment
Preferred
Windchill experience a plus
