Responsibilities
Support the CAO with estate planning activities, tax considerations, and preparation of personal financial statements for principals and related entities
Develop financial models and scenario analyses related to liquidity planning, charitable giving, trust distributions, and inter-entity transactions, and produce supporting schedules
Coordinate with accountants, legal counsel, banks, investment advisors, joint-venture partners, lenders, and brokers to ensure accurate documentation, effective information sharing, and timely execution of planning and investment initiatives
Analyze asset performance through financial modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, valuations, after-tax analyses, pro formas, and strategic scenario modeling for decision-making
Administer project budgets, maintain property-level and portfolio-level cash flow forecasts, and explain variances from pro forma projections
Prepare investment memoranda, asset management reports, and consolidated operating budgets, and deliver investor reporting such as quarterly or monthly updates while addressing specific investor inquiries
Maintain the asset management database and portfolio metrics, and enhance internal asset management systems through ongoing development and process improvements
Identify performance opportunities or areas of concern and escalate insights to the Asset Manager for strategic action
Qualification
Required
2-6 years of real estate partnership tax experience
public, private or combo experience
Experience preparing Form 1065, 8825, schedule K-1's and accounting for real estate partnerships
Detail-oriented and analytical
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Real estate industry experience a plus
Experience with financial modeling is a plus
Experience with IRR, NPV, cap rate, return on cost is a plus
CPA preferred
