Responsibilities
Generate and issue accurate B2B invoices aligned to payroll and billing cycles
Ensure correct billing of fees, payroll-related costs, and adjustments
Manage invoice corrections with clear documentation and audit trails
Send invoices, statements, and AR aging reports
Maintain visibility into outstanding balances and expected cash receipts
Monitor incoming payments daily (sometimes intraday)
Reconcile bank activity to invoices and customer accounts
Accurately apply large payments ($300k–$400k+)
Reconcile client payments across separate USD and CAD bank accounts
Investigate and resolve short-pays, overpayments, and unidentified receipts
Proactively follow up on overdue invoices
Maintain a structured, professional collections cadence
Escalate payment risks early, particularly where payroll exposure exists
Flag delayed payments or emerging cash risks to leadership
Qualification
Required
4–8+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Collections
Experience handling high-value B2B invoices and payments
Strong bank and AR reconciliation skills
Comfortable with collections and payment follow-ups
Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
Preferred
Experience in payroll, staffing, EOR (Employer of Record), or professional/consulting services
Experience with timesheet based invoices
Experience supporting multi-currency AR with separate currency accounts (USD/CAD)
Familiarity with daily or continuous close processes
Strong Excel, SQL, and reporting skills
